The Different Types of Metal Siding
Despite what you may think, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to incorporating metal siding to your home. Metal siding not only comes in several different colors, but several different materials as well. Depending on where you are in the world, what weather patterns look like near you, and even what housing development you are in, you may need drastically different styles of metal siding for your home.
In this video, we will compare and contrast the many different kinds of metal siding.
The first decision you need to make is between exposed fastener panels and concealed fastener panels. Concealed panels offer a sleek and modern look to your siding or wall, while ensuring a weatherproof fit. Since there are no entry points in this concealed and continuous style, rain and weather have no ways of penetrating it. On the other hand, exposed fastener panels have holes so you can screw them into the wall or siding of your home. This gives water a small entry point if not sealed properly. However, the exposed panels cost a lot less and offer an easier installation than concealed panels.
